My First Marvel Credit, So To Speak.
A few years back I was in the fortunate position to help friend (from my childhood LCS, The Game Room in Toledo Ohio) and Masterworks Collection Editor Cory Sedlmeier find some rare STERANKO material.
For this I was awarded a special "Thank You" in the front of the Marvel Masterworks: Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Volume 2. The book Reprints: Nick Fury from Strange Tales #154-168 and Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #1-3.
If you don't have this quintessential work by STERANKO, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Daredevil: The Subterraneans. A fictitious graphic novel written by Johnny Depp and illustrated by myself.
I chose Johnny Depp as writer because he is a huge Jack Kerouac fan, as am I.
The Subterraneans is a 1958 novella by Beat Generation author Jack Kerouac.
11x17 Ink and Prisma Color Colored Pencil on Bristol, Digital Zip-a Tone, Dr. Ph. Martin's: Watercolor Dyes, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
The images included showcase my creative process. 1. Final image with custom logos. 2. Colored images before the design was applied. 3. Final composite inks, as the inks for the main figure and the background were done on separate art boards. 4. Figure inks. 5. Background inks. 6. Figure pencils.

Sherlock Holmes the Return!
With the December issue of A Sandusky Bay Journal, I make my return as the regular artist on their Sherlock Holmes feature.
Here is the finished art with a cameo appearance by the Ghost from Teeth "I Dig Your Grave!"
Eric Palicki and J. Christopher Greulich are pleased to introduce Thiess, a very different kind of werewolf. Thiess is set to star in TEETH, a self-published comics mini-series slated for release in 2011.
“TEETH was inspired by an actual historical account of a werewolf in Europe during the 17th century,” says Palicki, who scripted the series. “During his inquisition, Thiess claimed that he and other werewolves were the ‘hounds of God,’ demon hunters who often did battle with the Devil himself. TEETH finds a fictionalized Thiess still alive today, still a hound of God, still fighting demons.”
The creators hope to raise funds through Kickstarter.com to produce and self-publish the first issue of TEETH, and they are making limited edition ashcans, posters and signed comics available to donors. In addition, the creators have made a one-page sequential story – “I Dig Your Grave!” – available to online readers.
